Models – Teenage Radio Stars – I Wanna Be You Baby

Teenage Radio Stars playing “I Wanna Be You Baby”, which is basically a clone of The Vibrator’s “Baby Baby”. This was recorded during the Suicide Records aussie punk period, which also had on their record label Nick Cave’s Boys Next Door, The Negatives (Sacred Cowboys/Moodists) and The Survivors (New Christs). As you can see from this clip Teenage Radio Stars had a very young James Freud singing with the help of a spiky blonde haired Sean Kelly. They would later have major chart success as James Freud & The Radio Stars and The Models. Models recently performed in 2008 and even did this song on stage. They seem to have gone full circle as James Freud son was playing with them and he looks like his father in this clip. Check out concert photos on our MySpace website. www.myspace.com Last fact for the day!!! Their real names are: James Freud AKA Colin McGlinchy Sean Kelly AKA Sean Mantelpiece Just in case you ever appear on Rockwiz. :)

Rowland S. Howard, “Dead Radio”

Enjoy one of rock’s lesser-known Aussie legends Rowland S. Howard. This is his song “Dead Radio” (from his album “Teenage Snuff Film”) set to pictures of himself. The song at the end is a clip of “Ave Maria” from Rowland’s latest (and probably last) album “Pop Crimes.” Rowland S. Howard was (and still is) a legendary musician (and my all-time favorite). Unfortunately, he passed away December 30, 2009. This video is dedicated to him. All music and photos in this video are property of the rightful owners. I do not intend to sell, claim as my own, or make any profit from the copyrighted material used in this video. Music was purchased legally (from the record companies themselves). If you are interested in having this music to listen to elsewhere, please purchase it legally and support the musicians and record companies involved. Rest in peace, Rowland S. Howard. www.myspace.com www.thebirthdayparty.com.au http
