Dinah Lee – Don’t You Know Yockomo
We were lucky enough to have Dinah Lee perform at our recent “Best of Aussie Rock” concert held on campus at the Australian Institute of Music. Here she performs her international number 1 Don’t You Know Yockomo. The Dinah Lee legend started in New Zealand in 1964 with a number 1 smash hit Nationally in Australia and her home country New Zealand with the song ‘Don’t You Know Yockomo followed by another number 1 hit in both countries with Reet Petite. Do The Bluebeat a Jamican Ska song was also a national number 1 in New Zealand for Dinah. Dinah Lee has 3 National Number 1 hits in Australia and 14 top ten singles plus 8 Albums culminating with her latest recording ‘Islands’ a special 8 track CD/Album. The opening track (a duet) of this new CD is titled ‘Islands’ and Dinah has a special guest on this track Rikki James a very talented young Maori singer from New Zealand.
