Double Whammy From Gotye

Gotye? S (pictured) joins his album Making Mirrors Somebody That I Used To Know single at # 1 on this week?’s ARIA chart. The last Australian to occupy both act which charts in April 2007 with Silverchair Straight Lines from Young Modern, chart historian Gavin Ryan reports. (Britain? S Adele did it for seven weeks from the end of June). Gotye is the 18th Australian act to do so (out of 19 in total? Delta did it twice), the first being Daddy Cool in 1971. Altogether Gotye is the 117th t act. . .

The Remix: It s On?

Brisbane? S school hip hop dance championship, The Remix, takes place at the River days on Saturday Aug 27th Students from 25 schools are eligible to enter and then complete a 10-week program of rehearsals and choreography workshop with Queensland hip hop dancers. The competition runs from 5? 9 pm and entry is free.
