The Loved Ones are one of the most significant Australian bands of the sixties. They released an album in 1967, titled Magic Box, a true aussie rock classic. They have been covered by Nick Cave, Inxs, Ed Kuepper and Tex Perkins. The lead singer, Gerry Humphreys later formed Gerry and The Joy Band in 1971 and had a minor hits with “Ongo Bongo Man” and a cover of Buddy Holly’s “Rave On”.
